SECRET TEACHINGS OF ALL AGES by Manly P. Hall [, copyright not renewed] Contents Start Reading For once, a book which really lives up to its title. Hall self-published this massive tome in , consisting of about legal-sized pages in 8 point type; it is literally his magnum opus. Gift idea for guys, Christian gift for men, gift mug, desktop gift, plaque, jewelry or keepsake.

The book is divided into three parts, and each chapter is quickly readable. By far, I thought the best part of the book was the Foreword, which was written by Lt. Gen William G. Boykin (retired), former commander of Delta Force. If I were to write a book about manly men, someone like Boykin would definitely be the one to do it. Check out this great listen on Esoteric scholar Manly P. Hall discusses the life of Christ, early Christianity, related symbology and the ancient mysteries in general, as well as the Christian Apocrypha, the Holy Grail, the Arthurian legend and other related topics. © Lamp o.

Manly Christianity exhibits the tenderest pity, sympathy, and love — it deals with the sorrows and weaknesses and failures of mankind. It helps a man to do his duty in life as no other book can.

It elevates the character. In the service of the Lord Jesus Christ there is the greatest and truest liberty. Superb book. I am definitely excited to read more from Manly P Hall. It is empowering as well to use this additional knowledge received from this book into other scriptures I have read such as the Gospel of Thomas and the New Testament.

If you are a Christian or not, you will love this book/5(13). Witty, compelling, andshrewd, Mansfield’s Book of Manly Men is about resurrecting your inborn, timeless, essential, masculine self.

The Western world is in a crisis of discarded honor, dubiousintegrity, and faux manliness. It is time to recover what we have lost. Stephen Mansfield Cited Manly Christianity book 5. The Manual to Manhood, the No. 1 book for Christian teens on Amazon, includes essays that instruct boys on how to fulfill godly, manly duties like grilling steaks, changing tires, impressing girls.

One tongue-in-cheek headline for the book might be, "Manly Conservative Reformed Republican Commends Christian Nonviolence." The author is. Since starting the Art of Manliness, I’ve read a boatload of books about masculinity, manliness, and simply being a man. There are books out there on every aspect of the male experience from practical skills like carving a turkey and dressing well to sociological studies on what it means to be a man in history and modern society to more poetic Manly Christianity book of the male experience.

True Christianity, they claimed, was manly and hard, not feminine and weak. Adolf Hitler described Jesus, "my Lord and Savior," as "a fighter." His Jesus, and the Jesus of German Christians generally, was a militant warrior fighting for God, not a suffering servant accepting punishment for.

Quite possibly the most widely read book on philosophy. The book is set as a cross-country motorcycle trip by a father and son. The book focuses on the importance of quality in a culture obsessed with quantity. Self Reliance by Ralph Waldo Emerson. Ralph Waldo Emerson is one of America’s greatest philosophers.

The Bible is composed on many books. You will need to read and study MUCh material to even begin to understand. This is not a book of secrets.

Understanding the material may take time. And I HIGHLY recommend reading something by Manly Hall just to get familar with his sityle of writing. This guy takes no breaks in his material/5(4). And as David Murrow records in his book, Why Men Hate Going to Church, research conducted by George Barna found that women are far more likely to be involved with their church and faith on nearly every level, to the tune of:Author: Brett And Kate Mckay.

Christian Novels for Men This list includes books that are truly Christian, not an allegory like Lord of the Rings, Narnia, etc. The name of Jesus will appear in the book.

It has to be a book that a man would likely pick up. Not a romance, etc. If you’re a Christian man, I think you’ll really enjoy Mansfield’s Book of Manly Men. Unlike a lot of the Christian books out there for men, Stephen’s book isn’t sappy or touchy feely.

It reminds me very much of the books for Christian men put out in the 19th century. Manly P Hall Wisdom of the Knowing Ones. Manly P Hall Wisdom Of The Knowing Ones 1 E Book PDF Item Preview.
